A record is never quite as finished as everyone thinks. The mixes are signed off and the master is approved — and then, at DDP and vinyl authoring, the last real decisions still get made: which version of track four, how the gaps sit, what the conversion does to the top end.
That moment is the last touch — which is where the name Finito comes from. After 30+ years in the studio as a producer and drummer, it is the moment I wanted proper tools for: both formats in one project, versions you can compare instead of guess at, and conversion you can hear before committing to it. AcuRate does that conversion on its own, for everything that is not a disc.
